Fig Literature Review

Literature Review (For Lab 2: Website Development)

This project (website) graphically showcases the skills and abilities involved in planning, designing, and developing websites—an essential resource for the digital transformation of any business, especially in the Niagara region. It also details my Capstone project, part of the Master of Arts in Digital Media and Global Communications program at UNFC, which aims to boost the digital growth of local businesses in the region. To this end, I conducted brief research on the number of small businesses—those with 1 to 9 employees—listed on the niagaracanada.com directory. I also reviewed data from Statistics Canada on why businesses lack a web presence, revealing a need for support and guidance in understanding digital tools that promote business digitization. Furthermore, I researched case studies of successful North American companies that have embraced digital transformation and its benefits, which are presented in the blog section. All the research compiled has a practical focus on benefits, operability, and technological solutions related to web design and digital marketing strategies.
